Samsung LaptopsSamsung laptops are another brand not well known in the United States. They make memory, hard drives, lcd displays and also assemble laptop computers. Samsung Electronics is the largest electronics company in the world by sales. They make most types of consumer electronics and have begun to concentrate on laptop computers.Samsung lists three sets of computers on their website. The first is Netbooks. They offer a 10 inch and an 11 inch model. Both have the typical Intel Atom processor 1 GB. of RAM and either a 160 or 250 GB. hard drive. Some of these are repeated under the other classifications. I won't repeat information about these computers. Next up are the Notebooks. These have Intel core 2010 (i3, i5 or i7) processors. They have screen sizes ranging from 14 to 17.3 inches. Nvidia Optimus Technology is available in some models to switch between the integrated and discrete graphics to maximize battery life. The third type is Ultra-Mobile PCs. The strange part though, is the website won't find any models in this group. Some models on the web site have prices. Some do not. The prices that show are manufacturers suggested prices. If you want to buy one of these models you will be directed to a retailer where you will pay whatever price the retailer is currently charging.
