Laptop Hardware

The laptop hardware in my different levels of computers should be:

Low Entry Level

• Processor AMD processors other than Turion X2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile Processor ZM-xx, Intel processors: Celeron, Pentium Dual Core, Core 2 Duo slower than T5800
• Graphics Intergrated graphics, Intel GMA 950, 3100, 4500 (Intel Processor); AMDNvidia GeForce 8200M, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3200, Nvidia GeForce 9400M
• Memory 512 MB to 2048 MB (AKA 2GB.) Microsoft suggests 2 GB or more for windows Vista
• Hard drive 60 GB or more
• Optical drive DVD RW
• Display 1280 X 800 WXGA*
• Wireless internet card 802.11b or better

*This is the lowest widescreen full High Definition resolution. You may find A lower resolution acceptable at this level of laptop hardware.

Barebones

• Processor AMD processor Turion X2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile Processor ZM-80 or higher; Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 to about P8400

Video cards listed as "better level cards" above run hot. If you buy a 15 inch or smaller laptop computer with standard cooling you run a risk of overheating unless care is taken to keep air ihtakes clear and avoiding soft surfaces.

Upper End

All these video cards run hot. Any Crossfire or SLI configuration without special cooling runs a risk of overheating any notebook computer. Any of these cards present a risk of overheating in a 15 inch or smaller computer.
